Maybe we all need to start thinking like Romans. 'What would Caesar do' could be the new bumper sticker.
I have been surprised at the support for illegals coming from the Christian denominations. But on reflection, I shouldn't have been.

Christianity -- like all religions -- is trans-national and trans-cultural in nature. There is no reason why it would favor Western culture over any other culture. It seeks to be the universal religion. It is like socialism, communism and capitalism, which also aspire to be global systems with no necessary connection to nation or culture.

What's happening today is many Christians think it is their duty to be for the down trodden even when that includes illegal aliens. They need to go back and read the scriptures. The Bible doesn't teach to protect law breakers from justice. It doesn't teach that it's ok to disrespect another country's borders but to obey the laws of the land. Of course churches that adhere to this nonsense are usually seeking new parishioners who will donate to the plate each Sunday morning.

Well said.

It's the churches themselves -- not Christians or Christianity per se -- that are behind all the nonsense.

And it's not only the presidential candidate. Look what just happened: the Senate confirmed a new Attorney General who's said that she has no intention of enforcing U.S. immigration laws. Oh, and she got in with the help of 10 "Republicans," including the lilting Lindsey Graham. I'm sure plenty of them were elected or re-elected by promising to be tough on immigration, too.

Voters had better start throwing these entitled bums out of office. We have enough problems with Dems. The last thing we need are a bunch of RINOs and RIWs (RINOs-In Waiting) entrenched on Capitol Hill.

When she got elected, the first thing I did was find out how my senators voted. Thank goodness they did not vote for this evil woman. I would have been furious, and I hope the people whose senators (R) did vote her in give, give them an earful! If you don't know how to contact them, they probably have a facebook page where you can leave a message.
