Ireland adjusting its color reception

TRIBUNE-REVIEW

I noticed the streets of Dublin, Ireland, changing color for the first time a year ago.

Very interesting-thanks for your post. It illustrates some universal human realities I've been harping about for months on this forum. I know from first-hand experience that PLENTY of Mexican-Americans-- and even many one-time, long-ago illegal immigrants (who came over long ago, "back in the days") are VERY much against our present rate---and our present "attitude"--of illegal immigration. It once "didn't matter"----but now, it does.

Does this make these folks "hypocrites"? I don't think so. They came here in modest numbers, stayed "out of the limelight", and thanked their good fortune...glad to be out of Mexico and to have a 'second chance' at a good life.. It's MUCH different today. I see nothing hypocritical about this, anymore than Gene Reeve's attitude toward Africans in Ireland. He came there and acted ONE way....the Africans came later, and acted ANOTHER way. The Irish objections seem to be less about race and more about behavior. Doesn't sound hypocritical to me....

Ireland is for Irish people, and has every right to be. Why do all these outsiders need to constantly flood European-based nations? Enough with this game of musical chairs on the national level. Leave us alone.

I agree. It's downright inhuman what the European Union has done to the demographics of many European Countries, esp a low population country like Ireland. All the thousands or millions of immigrants the European Union takes in will not put a single dent in the population of the 3rd world. I feel for you.
