And although the management of the prostitution ring was sophisticated for such young suspects, they were not smart businessmen, she said.

"They didn't put the profit back into the business," she said. "They mostly bought drugs and beer."

Rodriguez's bail was set at $170,000.

Both suspects face charges of human trafficking, promotion of prostitution, compelling prostitution and aggravated kidnapping.
Bail? If an 'immigration hold' has been placed on Rodriguez; why on earth is he eligible for bail?

They're two separate issues. The bail is set locally, the ICE hold is a federal issue.

The ICE hold will prevent him from being released. This is very common actually. Which is unfortunate, because it says something not only about the number of illegals here, but their character as well.

But I definitely see your point. I'm sure at some point or another there has been a jail that's screwed up and released someone on bail even though he was on an ICE hold.

This is yet another example of the entrepreneurship and economic vitality that they lend to the US.

Thanks for the clarification.
