Now; there is a language of Spain called Catalon which ain't 'Spanish'.

How do those of you justify making Spanish the de facto second language of the US? I mean, are Hispanic immigrants that much more important then African Immigrants, or Indian immigrants or Korean Immigrants that their language gets precedence? Why are other nationalities expected to learn English, but not the Spanish speaking ones? I asked this before, but there was no real response, except that English is hard (but again, others do manage to learn it).

In all seriousness, I would like to know.

Once Franco passed away (1975); the Catalon language was allowed to flourish alongside Spanish.

Re: difference between gallery or museum concerning art, I have both words used.

I see what you mean now.

'Anglo Whites' are the majority------including people of Hungarian, Italian, etc. heritage with Spanish sounding names.

Hispanics (of any race) are about 16% of the US population.

Blacks are about 13% and diminishing due to low birthrates, higher death rates and increasing interracial marriage with the children oftentimes not considering themselves 'Black'.

American Indians

Asians

Too people with last names like Rodrigues, Garcia, etc. from India are also a variety of 'Mestizo'.
