Default INDIANA.. The Domino Effect. Illegals, GET LOST!

INDIANAPOLIS — Companies could face strict penalties — including losing their business licenses — if they knowingly hire illegal aliens under a bill being considered by a Senate committee.

Bill sponsor Sen. Mike Delph, R-Carmel, said Indiana is stuck with the public and social costs of illegal immigration because federal immigration law isn’t being enforced.

“This bill is not about race,” he said. “It’s not about ethnicity. It’s not about nationality. It’s about one thing and one thing only: the respect for the rule of law.”

“If a business, after two warnings, doesn’t get the message that violating the law is not going to be tolerated in the state of Indiana, they should lose their license,” he said. “They should go out of business because they’re not being good corporate citizens.”

Bill supporters said they were tired of illegal immigration going unchecked in their communities.

FINALLY.. HURRAY FOR INDIANA!!!!!!!!!!!

ILLEGALS.. GO HOME!!!!!!

I am fast coming to the conclusion as more and more states enact laws with teeth concerning the illegal immigrant problem, increasing numbers of the latter will self deport vs. trying their luck in another state.

Especially if as another poster suggested; the authorities start seizing the assets of said illegals i.e. their vehicles, etc.

I think that what is going to happen is that the states will be handling illegal immigration problems on their own. 46 states have now tried to enact laws against illegal immigration. Since the federal government actually DISOBEYS their OWN laws(!), the states will have to do it.

Therefore, I don't think that whoever is President is going to really have anything to do with it, in the end. The federal government, President and Congress, do not want to deal with this. Locals will have to do it themselves.

Yet another Republican sponsoring a bill to do something about this crisis. Thank goodness for Sen. Mike Delph.

Isn't it a shame he must feel compelled to explain it's not about race.

Yes, it is a shame but you can blame the minorities for this along with the elites.

The problem is these laws will be struck down by the courts just like the arizona law is eventually going to be. All sides must sit together and compromise at the federal level ie congress and the president.

the pro illegals use race as an EXCUSE..a PLOY.. a way to make Americans hide... to coward-down... to shut-up..

well all those pro-illegals can FORGET IT!

Thier race card has run-it's-course.. and REAL Americans are sick of the excuses... sick of losing jobs, sick of high and higher taxes to pay for the illegals to freeload, sick of all the illegal mothers who sneak over to give birth knowing they won't get deported now since they had a child in OUR country, sick of all the thousands of illegals who are killing Americans everyday by way of drugs, DUI's, rape and murder, gangbanging.
We Americans are sick of illegals.. PERIOD!

To the contrary:

The pro illegal crowd is feeling the lasso tightening around them hence they becoming more and more desperate.

Yes; the above will win a battle or two, but the real American patriots will prevail

It is pretty bad when more and more Black folks are joining the rebellion against illegal immigration.

Hail to Indiana !!!

For the illegal lovers read this carefully.

Stop making it about RACE, it is NOT a race issue.

Ask yourself this

Being an American, if you break the law do you GET A BREAK from doing so?
No, you get no breaks, not one. So, why the heck would you even consider giving illegals who are breaking the laws of our country a break.
NO BREAKS, GO HOME and DON'T COME BACK !

Just for the whiners, I dont care what country you came from, we dont want you here unless you abide by the laws.

Thanks to Indiana for being one of the first midwestern states to take a stand, what people dont realize is the illegals are moving into these states and stealing jobs and destroying our schools, hospitals and continue to have no respect for our laws.

Yes, its a REP who is sponsoring this bill. Lets see if any DEMs step up to get it passed.

I, like many, do not think these laws will be struck down. The only laws of a similar nature which courts have ruled unconstitutional thus far are ones relating to the provision of housing and housing services. It IS a violation of federal law to pass a law the prevents the provision of housing services to people. It is, however, a very different matter when it comes to providing employment. It is, in fact, already illegal to employ an individual who is NOT authorized to work in this country. So, in fact, not even the Supreme Court will have a chance to kill these unless they find some way to deem the already existing employment code unconstitutional. Which they may, but that will take a couple of years. These laws will have had the intended effect well before then.
