I know I am repeating my other post to some extent. We can support American artists by buying pottery made here, by hand. If you need mixing bowls, a set of dishes or any other functional piece, please go to a local pottery shop or art studio. We are losing a lot of valuable trades here thanks to Walmart and others that carry Chinese and Mexican crap. The mixing bowl are fantastic and it is original art!!!! You might pay more, but it will be something to be proudly passed on to your children.

I'm not so sure I agree with this. Sure, in a global market where there's a level playing field sure. But at a time when China is artificially holding down the value of their currency, to suck every last dollar our of our country that they can Washington should be taking measures to protect our industries. Nations use slave workers, child labors, and even in most of the best circumstances third world nations are working their employees 60 to 70 hours a week without over time pay or benefits. And this all amounts to lost jobs for Americans.

In short, jobs haven't left America because economically other nations are producing products fairly and cheaply. Jobs have left America because our leaders in Washington have put our industry in a position where they are set up to lose. Washington should pass tariffs to protect our industries. If we lose on a level playing field then fine. But until then we should be protecting our jobs, citizens and industries.
