Antonio Villaraigosa is not a anchor baby, he is an third generation Mexican-American. These types of comments are very hurtful, regardless of your race or ethnicity. This goes back to the other person who claimed Bill Richardson is an anchor baby. Maybe every Mexican is an anchor baby.
I think is is a dominant genetic trait that is passed down through the generations. (sarcasm off)

How can an internet comment made, basically, by an anonymous person, about someone you've probably never met, be hurtful? I'm really curious.

No, no.......I think it was Professor Jose Angel Gutierrez of the Univerisity of Texas who made that observation. (It is terribly difficult to keep them all straight isn't it? So many people expressing their love for America!)
