Amnesty, sanctuary cities, releasing criminal illegal aliens, not deporting, encouraging more illegal aliens to stay and come, attacking free speech critical of the illegal immigration policies etc, these are all progressive policies and they all encourage the problem.
I'm not following your logic....the was deported five times already, so amnesty/sanctuary has nothing to do with it.

Don't hold your breath. Anyway, there's much bigger fish to fry in America than focusing on people with multiple felony arrests and deportations running free among us and killing some tourist.

We need to stay focused on the horrors of the Confederate flag.

Get your priorities straight.

He was deported by the Feds.

Progressive cities such as SF take pride in their offering of sanctuary to those in the US illegally.

Local officials in sanctuary city San Diego released this person who was delivered into their custody for a drug violation due to their policies to not hold illegal aliens.

I don't understand your logic of how amnesty/sanctuary has nothing to do with it.

More they make a point not to deport those who are here illegally and following the law, only handing over those who commit crimes (which is more feasible and less of a burden on police).
Obviously, SF dropped the ball by allowing this guy back on the street.

So they refuse to hold someone who has committed a crime, just because he's an illegal alien? Something they wouldn't do for a US citizen? Come on, man.

Illegal aliens are not US citizens. They're suppose to be held until deportation or sentencing per immigration law, not released into the public. Come on, man.

Progressive liberals want to ignore, not enforce and weaken immigration law to protect illegal aliens and criminals while they attack free speech.

Truly tragic, but things like this (which can be avoided) are to be expected as long as the pro-amnesty forces control our cities and until the public demands that the police cooperate with the Federal government in securing our border and honoring commonsense immigration detainer requests. What really gets me, though, is that the chief legal council had the nerve to say that there was "no legal cause to detain the suspect." Complete and utter BS! The legal cause (for a brief detainer, mind you, not a prolonged detainer, which would have raised constitutional issues) is that the man was in the country illegally and the Federal government made a lawful immigration detainer request!

And San Francisco is even more in the crap hole as the Federal government had this man in its custody, but San Francisco REQUESTED that he be turned over to its custody for a drug charge. Yet, they couldn't honor a similar request for a Federal immigration hold? Note, San Francisco isn't completely to blame here as the Federal govt. knew that this would be the response, yet they decided to release the man to San Francisco's custody for the drug charge, which it did not have to do. Sadly, this is a continuation of the pro-amnesty policies of both cities like San Francisco and the Federal govt. under this administration.
SFPD went further: officer Grace Gatpandan Gatpandan says that San Francisco is a "sanctuary city, so we do not hand over people to ICE."

It's a sanctuary.

I think sanctuary cities are violating federal immigration laws and should be put a stop to.
It makes no sense for the feds to have gone after Arizona when they tried to enforce our immigration laws and yet they do nothing about sanctuary cities and states. If one action is against federal policy then the other should be also since they say immigration is a federal issue.

Phoenix is a Sanctuary City thanks to Phil (Flash ) Gordon and the New Mayor is carrying on his policies.
Let me remind the concerned Citizens on this forum, Ms. Gordon was caught red handed in transporting Illegals in her trunk.

The DOJ should be taking California to court for Modifying Federal Law and not abiding with Federal Laws, Arizona was targeted because they choose to enforce laws and empower local law enforcement to provide support to ICE and BP.

Again the Adminstration is playing games with American security. Clinton would be extension of Bad Democratic Policy. I have noticed Ms. Clinton has not said a word on this subject.

In the wake of the tragedy, Latinos have signaled that they will not tolerate efforts to turn immigrants into political targets.
Rocio Saenz, the first Latina to serve as executive vice president of the Service Employees International Union — a powerhouse backer of Democratic causes and candidates — pledged last week that Latinos will fight back against politicians who try to make political hay by attacking those in the country illegally.
“We’re throwing down the gauntlet, challenging the injustice, racism and ambivalence,” she said in a statement. “Get ready, here we come.”

S.F. killing sparks national outrage, likely political fallout - San Antonio Express-News

Injustice? Racism? For whom, exactly? Illegals are her illegally! The injustice is towards legal citizens who have to pay for this crud.
