The murder of a young woman in San Francisco allegedly at the hands of an illegal immigrant has brought renewed scrutiny on the sheriff who released the defendant before the attack and has ardently backed policies making the city a “sanctuary” for undocumented immigrants.
I don't know why any city or town would want to be a sanctuary for someone breaking the law.
If someone is picked up by the Police they should be held until it can be determined who they are. If I get pulled over for a traffic violation the officer will ask for my license ID and registration. This determines who I am and if my car is legal. When the officer takes my license back to his car he is running my ID to see if I am a wanted man. If all is in order I am on my way.
When an illegal is stopped or picked up for a violation or crime we need to know who this person is. They need to answer for their crime be it running a red light, driving without a license, or shooting someone on a pier. When the crime is answered for the final crime of being in the country illegally needs to be addressed.
Letting these people go because it is a sanctuary city is crazy.

If we were able to clean deport those in Sanctuary Cities. We would less traffic, less crime and jobs for all.
If Arizona was sued on AZ1070by Holder and the DOJ. We should be able remove and enforcr laws in our metro areas.
