These parents should be prosecuted for negligence. It's been done before. Parents who have refused medical care for their children based on religious grounds have been convicted. I see no difference in this case.

You hit the hammer on the nail. A state like Oklahoma only has 75,000 illegal workers, Arizona has at least 300,000. Most of these people have gone into Arkansas, Texas, and Missouri. Wherever they can get a job, they will be going. The legal residents who have moved because of illegal family members, have probably signed up for citizenship so they can change the atmosphere of the nation. The law has had negative effects Oklahoma's economy, there have been numerous articles on the subject.

our government WANTS you to feel sorry for them.. Our government WANTS to give amnesty so they don't have to take a stand on illegal immigration.. They figure if they give amnesty, all is good. They get thier cheap slave labor, and we (Americans) won't have a leg to stand on demanding our rights as Americans be protected!

Then give it another 20 years.. we'll go thru the same BS all over again.. but by then.. those from south of the border will have been spittin-out little pedro's and maria's by the millions.. by then it'll be too late.

We need to CLEAN house... NOW!

If getting rid of Mexicans has helped Mexico's economy -- and obviously the Mexican government very much believes it does -- then why is it any different here?

If illegals were actually good for an economy then their own government would want them back -- it doesn't.

That would be similar to American parents visiting in another country who preferred to let their child die rather than cut their trip short by being in a country where their insurance didn't cover their health care.

This boils down to child neglect and abuse -- nothing more. Even without a free emergency room visit, nothing at all stopped these parents from taking the child to a doctor's office.

Oklahomas' economy now, but I'm sure most of you saw How many $$$$$$$$$ they were costing the state of Oklahoma. Someone posted it last week, I think. Just look at the millions of $$$$$$$ we should be saving if they leave. Now we need to quit paying for their pre natal care and scores of births. Oklahoma Health Authorities, wake up!

By the way, 75,000 illegal criminals is 75,000 too many.

What is funny -- not funny I guess but ironic is that even though Vicente Fox was constantly telling us how great illegal Mexicans were for OUR economy, he obviously did not want them coming back to Mexico.

The Mexican government still is adamant that it does not want them back.

I am more concerned about the numerous deaths of Americans directly due to an illegal alien being in this country. If laws had passed sooner, our existing immigration laws enforced and we had secured our borders long ago, thousands of American lives would have been spared. But, you know what is really sad and makes me sick, is how long that baby suffered.

Okla. Immigration Law Blamed for Infant's Death (broken link)
They knew they were entitled to medical care as always, free. They could have called all kinds of illegals help groups. I hope they stay in prison for a long time.
