Lombard is a suburb of Chicago, a sanctuary city, so that may have factored into things.

Lombard. They didn't tow the car and looked the other way when the illegal with no license left the scene driving the car he didn't own.
If a family member is specifically forbidden from driving the vehicle that is another different circumstance.

That's not how we do things where I work or anywhere near me for that matter. Did you ask the officer why he let him leave? You should have complained

If the driver was no valid or suspended and killed someone on the way home, Lombard could be sued for millions.

Would an unlicensed driver be forbidden from driving any insured vehicle? Ask any insurance company. The answer would be yes.

As if that does any good.

Chicago is a sanctuary city. Many Chicago suburbs act as if they are, as well.

More on illegal aliens in Chicago suburbs' traffic court...

These cases involve illegals disobeying an assortment of traffic laws and regulations thereby causing accidents involving property damage and/or injuries. The judge tells them to get their license, buy insurance, come back to court with proof of both and he'll dismiss their charges. No fines or court costs are assessed.

My daughter's case is finally called. We ask for court supervision so her victimless "crime" rolling stop ticket doesn't go on her record. We have to pay the fine, pay court costs, pay for mandatory traffic school (to which illegals aren't even sentenced), and my daughter is placed on a 6-month supervision in which if any other violation occurs, this one is retroactively recorded as a conviction.

It's a farce, any way you look at it.

The cops wouldn't pay that. The taxpayers would. So the cops don't give a sh*t.

Insurance companies are still responsible even if someone doesn't have a license.

A lot of third rate Insurance companies are giving insurance to illegals knowing the vehicles owner doesn't have a license.

Another reason to support Donald TRUMP!!!!!!

No. They can deny the claim.
