This is great. There is no reason for criminals to sit on their butts. I really wish he would run for a federal political office and help sweep up the Congress.

Sheriff Joe is at it Again! (http://www.texasinsider.org/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=1580 - broken link)

Oh, there's MUCH more to know about Sheriff Joe!

Maricopa County was spending approx. $18 million dollars a year on stray animals, like cats and dogs. Sheriff Joe offered to take the department over, and the County Supervisors said okay.

Way To Go, Sheriff!
Maybe if all prisons were like this one there would be a lot less crime and/or repeat offenders. Criminals should be punished for their crimes - not live in luxury until it's time for their parole, only to go out and commit another crime so they can get back in to live on taxpayers money and enjoy things taxpayers can't afford to have for themselves.

Sheriff Joe was just reelected Sheriff in Maricopa County, Arizona

God bless him. Our military suffers overseas and these creeps whine about not getting coffee. Thank you Joe.

Why because he treats criminals like they should be treated? No special treats and they have to work.

Sheriff Joe is a Hero. Too bad we can't clone him. I would think many sheriffs would pick up on his tactics, and don't understand why they don't. I think I'll write to my sheriff, and ask him. I can't believe,at one time, that they were allowed porno in jail. It seems to me that would create a lot of tension and frustration. As for the no coffee rule , thats enough right there to scare me away from any wrong doing!

The only thing I would change from what I read was that I wouldn't even pay them .28 cents/hr. They are still costing the taxpayers a lot of money by being there. I know it might not amount to much individually, but as a whole, that .28 cents adds up.

Sheriff Joe for President!

I agree . . . WAY TO GO, Sheriff Joe!

This state as well as this entire country would be a better place to live if we had more Sheriff Joe's!
