Nine years ago Obama saw the problems of immigration clearly. It's gotten much worse, yet he has done a complete about-face. Sad.

"The number of immigrants added to the labor force every year is of a magnitude not seen in this country for over a century....it also threatens to depress further the wages of blue-collar Americans and puts strains on an already overburdened safety net". Barack Obama, "The Audacity of Hope", p. 119

He wanted his party to retain the Hispanic vote. Votes, money and power trumped our immigration laws and the needs of our own citizens.

So true, the American citizen public takes a back seat to politics and Votes. It is so blatant, let in millions of illegals, give them rights because it is the humane thing to do, give them amnesty and they will "pay a fine" then make sure they know who gave them the rights and we will never see another Republican in the white house.
What Dems can't seem to understand is you can only give away so much before there is nothing left for anyone. When this country is in financial ruins the illegal aliens can go back home but where do we go?
