Immigrants: They are people first
God created and loved.
They have earnest lives and tragic deaths. How do we treat the undocumented workers in our midst?
With the same compassion and respect we afford other human beings. Some are here to work and return to their home countries, as many do throughout the world. But, if we are fortunate, they will choose to stay, raise their children and make the same contributions all past generations of immigrants have. The presence of brother and sisters from different cultures should be celebrated as a gift. When we enrich each other with our diversity, we become what God envisioned when he told the Israelites: "You too must befriend the alien, for you were once aliens yourselves." Human respect for our fellow man is a much more uplifting human response to immigrants. Immigrants simply want to survive and provide a future for their families. It is so limited and tortuous now that the only solution for so many long-suffering good people who would rather be legal is to become illegal for the sake of there families survival. We need to reestablish hope instead of fear that has become their primary emotion. We need to respect their rich culture and active faith. I will continue to support their human rights. This country holds the promise of a better way of life for most. What impresses me most, in the Hispanic population is their willingness to work hard for the money that they earn. The pride that they demonstrate in the fact that there families come before all else.

Let G-d love them in their own land. That way He won't have to punish them for doing illegal things.... "Give unto Caesar what is Caesar's." We have enough diversity here. It is killing us. Just too darn much of a good thing.

HELLO! We do promote peace, justice and respect for our immigrant brothers. It's illegal aliens we want out of here. That's not mean spirted, incompassionate or racist. It's the law. We are country of laws. We do not beat, stone or kill illegals. In a perfect world we'd have no borders and everything would be wonderful. BUT that's not the case. Our country would crumble and die if we opened our borders to every Tom, Dick and Harry that wanted to come in. It would be like leaving your front door unlocked. You'd be sorry when you got home and saw what had become of your home. Take off your rose colored glasses and use your brain.

Look here, I'm not in hate of all immigrants. I think that immigrants should be welcome in the US. But it has to be on our terms. Firstly, there need to be caps on the number we bring in espcially from certain countries so we dont bring in people who are going to put a strain on americans. Secondly, immigrants need to speak fluent english becase this is by and large an english-speaking nation. Third, the immigrants should have some respect and reverence for all we've gone through to make the US the US. Fourthly, they should be sent back home on the first thing smoking if they are convicted of a felony or high misdemanor offense.
Also, the US can't and shouldn't be responsible for solving everyone's problems. We can't even solve ours now.
We speak against illegal immigration because it is a confirmed and real threat to the american way of life. No one wants these illegals murdered or tortured we just want them outta the US.
Let's start with repealing the 14th Amendment, thereby denying citizenship to any baby born here if illegals.
I don't hate the people; I despise their crime, and the fact that this government gives them benefits and protections which should be reserved for lawful citizens and legal visitors.

We have our OWN people - citizens - who want a "better life".
Let the Mexican government make a better life for people in their own country. They just like to send their poor here to send back money to Mexico. It's like their "valve" so that THEY don't need to change and do right by their own people. It's not fair to the illegals, OR to us.
We, as citizens who pay the taxes and fight the wars, have the right to decide who comes into our country and who doesn't. Mexico also has that right on THEIR southern border, and they sure do exercise it!

the hard-working americans whose jobs they are stealing are also people, and they are more my brothers than the illegal immigrants who will not obey the laws because they have nothing to lose. let us not forget that!!! if they can work so hard, let them work to fix things in their own country just like we do here!
