I was doing some research this morning on one of the candidates and came across this article: Democratic Debate Spotlights Health Care for Illegal Immigrants - Washington Wire - WSJ

Seriously, my tax dollars are going to subsidize health insurance for illegals who shouldn't be here in the first place? Any other admitted criminal doing this would out themselves so I hope they are entering that these people are illegals into a database for later use when it is time to send them packing!

All the citizens who are barely making it and trying to pay their taxes and they will be expected to subsidize the criminals that shouldn't be here in the first place? Make that FURTHER subsidize.

That is one thing I get tired of hearing. Well, the criminal illegals don't do such and such that much, well, they wouldn't be doing it at all if we were enforcing the laws which is why we have those laws in the first place.

What you and most people don't understand but Omally mentioned in the debate is that you have already been paying for it for years via the percentage of your taxes that go to "uninsured care." That money goes to treating anyone without health care who doesn't pay.

I'm against health care for immigrants but ONLY because I'd rather the funds go right to the hospitals and cut out the middle man insurance companies.

State contacted health insurances is the biggest waste of taxpayers money. The average consumer has no idea. ...

This is why we need a single payer system. But because know one understands the huge losses that Medicaid managed care costs, this will never happen.

I actually agree with you to a point but any illegal showing up for treatment should be treated and deported.

I am very aware that cutting the middle man out would make medical care affordable again. It used to be that way. When I was a child, people only had major medical, I mean really major medical but otherwise, even the lower class could afford to go to the doctor and pharmacy and still afford their other expenses.

Medicaid has been farmed out to a middle man in our state. It is a disaster. They are trying to cut and reduce services in order that they make a profit. It is supposed to save the state money but if the state cut and reduced services, they wouldn't have had to do as much since the for-profit would have been eliminated.

The illegals are a burden here but no one wants to talk about that. We can just reduce care for the elderly, disabled and mentally ill.

I don't mind subsidizing Americans who can't afford healthcare but I do mind subsidizing through my taxes and higher healthcare costs for myself for illegal aliens (they're not immigrants).

And our veterans. Why should Americans have to get reduced benefits because a part of our taxes are going to subsidize illegal alien healthcare? I agree, emergency care only then deport them.
