Racism has absolutely no correlation with the rule of law.

Lawbreakers are not rewarded.

Those who wish to see the rule of law enforced are not racist.

This world is for people to live in and enjoy within the rule of law--not anarchy. How sad for those of you who believe that certain ethnic groups of people are above the law.

Sincerely,
young woman 48 years young.

Being against illegal immigrants is not racist!

Besides: not all illegals are Spanish speaking Mestizos----------we have those insolent losers from Ireland, Poland, China, Great Britain, etc. and every one of them thinks we owe them something.

Haven't gone back over the thread, so maybe someone's already brought this up....but not only will any "next" amnesty be met with tremendous public anger (remember, we've already HAD a number of amnesties...each one 'pitched' as being the 'solution to the problem')....but also no one seems to want to discuss the fact that any amnesty will LEGALIZE the ILLEGALS.....and presto, no more willingness to 'work cheap'....no more taking of 'cr*p wages'.....and no more attractiveness to greedy employers. When the illegals become 'the new legals', not only will their 'legality' become a source of scorn to most of the public, but their value as 'cheap labor' will vanish, and they'll become just another 'grumpy' group of American labor, fully entitled to all benefits....and no doubt, they'll immediately find themselves in competition with still NEWER illegals, ones who WILL work cheap, as 'they' once did.

WHATEVER the 'benefits' of any NEW amnesty may be imagined to consist of, why don't we just consider the PREVIOUS amnesty as being the LAST one, and enjoy the benefits of THAT one....such as they are..(?).

In the end, each amnesty produces VERY little gratitude. Its main effect seems to consist of increasing the 'demands' upon the system, and in fueling the demand for more, and bigger, amnesties in the future. Each amnesty sends a message to one and all that. 'the way to succeed is to cheat the system', that 'laws are made to be ignored', and that 'nice guys finish last'. Amnesty benefits the lawless at the direct expense of the law-abiding...and that's NEVER a good thing.

You have the syntax of a much younger person -- I would guess early twenties.

Nonetheless, borders may be artificial, but they are still relevent. Neither Canada nor Mexico are advocating the disaperance of their borders...yet the US should not have borders? Makes no sense, and as an elderly gentleman you should know that. On the other hand, if you are some kid either in college or just out of it you are merely regurgitating socialistic pablum spoon fed to you by professors. And that, my young friend is sad...

My sentiments exactly! As Iíve mentioned on numerous occasions, amnesty would be tantamount to the abolition of slavery for the plantation owners. Why would the greedy corporations want to lose their lucrative slave labor?

U move into a new neighborhood and see your next door neighbor having friends over for a bbq. Do you invite yourself over without asking? Do you fill your plate with food while they watch?

Just trying to see how you feel about using things that were meant for other people.

Personally, I find this very offensive.
