The proposal was approved on an 11-to-3 vote by the House Labor Committee and appears headed toward passage by the full House of Representatives, as has a similar proposal the last two years. To become law, however, it would require the approval of the Senate as well, where it has consistently stalled amid concerns by Senate leaders.
The ethnocentric racists are determined to undermine the rule of law in favor of their illegal alien constituency at every turn. The (Illegal) Alien Civil Liberties Union really needs to apply for a name change. What they do and who they represent has absolutely nothing to do with America or Americans.

What can we expect from the IA Chamber of Commerce? Of course they object to anything that would impede cheap illegal labor.
It is 100% acceptable to show ID at the polls. In fact, this is often used instead of actual voters registration cards at the polls. Since I carry my drivers license with me at all times, this is 100% justifiable.
BTW for those of you who don't drive, you can still get state IDs at drivers license centers.

According to the SPLC NumbersUSA is one of several subsidiaries of John Tanton's immigration reduction campaigns. SPLC says that there is cooperation between Tanton's groups and White supremacist groups.
To my knowledge Tanton has not sued the SPLC for libel, nor has he gotten a conviction, so I would imagine that what the SPLC is saying about Tanton is true.
Are there any non-Tanton grassroots anti-illegal immigration organizations that any of you would recommend?

ACORN has some obvious questionable connections. All large groups do. Unfortunately that happens.
NRA- no doubt has quite a few members who are also members of Militia groups.
ASPCA- No doubt as some attachments to questionable groups like PETA.
If its doing a valid service I wouldn't shy away from numbers USA
