Arizona's border with Mexico has long been known for drug and immigrant smuggling. Officials complain that break-ins and violent crime are often committed by groups coming from or returning to Mexico.
Federal efforts along the border have been paying off, however. The federal government has greatly expanded its border presence. Immigration from Mexico has also slowed considerably this decade, and the number of immigrants apprehended in the Border Patrol's Tucson sector in 2014 dipped to a 22-year low. Nearby Yuma plummeted to 1960s lows starting in 2011.

Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey creates state police border force

Good! Now to start sealing off New Mexico and, Mexico WILL really start crying till it grows up and starts acting like a 1st world country since it'd be a slam dunk that an illegal alien or drug cartel member will probably be caught and punished.

Good news!

If only the border force could be stretched farther west to Chula Vista and farther east to Brownsville we'd be in business.

-Cheers.

Word is it's becoming VERY risky for illegal aliens to cross into California in 2015 and, Texas ain't real illegal friendly either.

All good news but since we still have millions of them still residing within our borders we still have a big problem and need to address that.

I'm surprised the USAF ain't involved now because ANYBODY flying across our borders without permission CAN be looked at as an Act of War or at least a terrorist attack.

The American people need to do what our government won't do.
