Post News, Mexico could teach the U.S. a few things about border enforcement.

National Geographic is just about the last place I'd look for information about the illegal immigration crisis in our country. But the February issue of that prestigious magazine publishes a fascinating article about life along Mexico's southern border, and the callous methods the Mexican government employs to deal with illegal immigrants.

That article should be front page news on every newspaper in the USA.

AmericanMan is on a distinguished road
This is just awful.
Mexico seems very helpful in wanting
to protect thier border, and make a profit
at the same time, while shipping thier criminal
element here to the u.s. Why our government
allows such abuse played on americans is mind boggling.
The people from mexico are going to ruin america.

I thought we already KNEW that Mexico could teach the U.S. much about border enforcement.....so true !

Mexico could ALSO teach the U.S. about many OTHER things-- For instance, they could give us the Official MEXICAN GOVERNMENT position on:

*Allowing foreign nationals to engage in disruptive street demonstrations...

*Allowing foreigners to attempt to influence domestic politics

*Allowing foreign officials to enter Mexico to confer with their constituents who are illegally residing in Mexico....

*Allowing foreign officials to 'scold' Mexican lawmakers, and attempt to 'sway' their votes...

ALSO,
*The idea that giving Mexican citizens preference over foreigners is not evidence of "racism", but merely 'taking care of their own first'....

*The idea that Mexico bears no moral obligation to provide for the poor of other nations---in fact, that Mexico really bears no moral obligation even to its OWN poor citizens....

*Mexico might even be able to sell US Officials on the idea they could save money, if they withdrew all forms of aid to the poor, and instead simply encouraged them to move to Canada, by any means available...Once safely across the border, the US could then begin pressuring and "shaming" the Canadian government to extend services to these displaced Americans....

There's a LOT we could learn from Mexico. Are we willing to listen?..
