Hello, I hope this thread may give me some more information on my subject. I'm from Germany. The issue for my senior project is to gather information about how illegal Hispanics are treated in a middle-sized Californian city, i.e. which services they are entitled to in the city, etc. The Internet is my only source for this. I've found some towns of interest like San Leandro, Chino, Baldwin Park. I'll try to contact the governments although i don't expect a lot of informations. Do you have any suggestions for me, e.g. in method or certain websites?

I just moved from San Bernardino County in So, Cal. to Oklahoma.
Any particular small towns?
I was with the "MinuteMen" out there.

Actually I'm not looking for a certain town.
I want to pick one out from which I can receive most information for my topic.
Now I'm filtering the sites for some specific data.

Believing wikipedia.org, San Bernardino's population is half Hispanic. I'm looking for such high percentages because the chance might be higher that there are illegal Hispanics although I don't know how the surveys are held.

My teacher recommended me to choose a smaller one because bigger cities might deliver too much information for my limited senior project.
Currently I'm not really agreeing with her.. D:

Do you think San Bernardino might be a good source for that kind of a project?

This is one of the reasons, I doubt the town's government might not offer me the infomration I want.
We did in school the early American history and immigration was of course an important issue. My teacher did also hint to today's situation in America and she seems to be rather interested in that subject..

The local Gov, in San bernardino is half Hispanic descent, so they will give you all the help you need.
There are several small towns around SanBndo, like.

*(infested with illegal Immigrants)

Highland
*Redlands (MS13 gang turf)
*Banning
*Muscoy
*Rialto
Colton
*Bloomington
Fontana, (California Speedway)

*Riverside (in Riverside County)

Seeing what you are trying to do, I would probably go with a more isolated and smaller town. You are looking at what really is just an area of a great metropolis.

I would suggest you evaluate using a smaller and more isolated town, such as Visalia, CA:

Visalia, California (CA) Detailed Profile - relocation, real estate, travel, jobs, hospitals, schools, crime, news, sex offenders
