There is a combination of physical fence and virtual fence -
There are additional border patrol agents on the border - and more to come over 2008
Increased deportations are, in fact, occuring
And increasing number of states are enacting employer sanctions laws
And increasing number of states are reducing, or eliminating state sponsored / funded assistance programs for illegals (including housing, medical, education)
It will take a combination of efforts to start getting a real handle on the illegal immigration issue -
Seems to me the government is supporting breaking the law,

Corrupt politicians taking money from big businesses who profit of the slave labor of illegals, and in turn the politicians push legislation for keeping illegals here and giving them benefits. These same politicians care more about lining their pockets then the welfare of America and it's citizens.

can see that if we "did" have what would be
an open-border.. don't you think these mexican

Crminals, thiefs, illegals are you talking about the americans that go south to establish drug production and trade with our neighbors down south or are you
so naive to beleive that the latin americans came up with the great idea of cultivating drugs and create a market up north, the reality is the the a huge
amount of americans have a lot of appetite for drugs which promotes this activity and is a lot of americans involved in it, this people down south are not that stupid, they may live around the cocaine and pot growing regions
and never feel a need to use drugs, more recently OUR CYNISM has grown to the point that we acusse Mexicans of producing large amounts of methamphetamine, a drug that we invented and has destroyed numerous neighbohoods in the US, HA,HA now we also blame the mexicans, can we be any more F*** up than that, we also have the highest number by far of sexual predators, and serial killers, are we going to blame the mexicans,
they must be praying for this fence to be built so that all this stuff we do

What if anything does your post have to do with securing our borders? What does it have to do with the millions sneaking into our country? If we had a real secure border ie a fence that is heavily patroled it would eliminate the border as an open door for illegals to sneak in. It would eliminate it as an easy route for drug trade. Its a win win deal.
