Uh, that was a wall that kept people imprisoned. This wall is to keep people from coming to our country illegally. Do you approve of anarchy?

Anarchy?

Our country has had an open border for a very long time,

....how do you figure that should, or could equate, to anarchy?

Anarchy

1. a state of society without government or law.
2. political and social disorder due to the absence of governmental control.

The border is NOT an open border. Perhaps it has been ignored, but we do not have open borders, as much as you might like that to come to fruition.

As much as I might like that?

Excuse me, synopsis, I thought personal inferences weren't part of your 'civil' discourse policy.....

I've been pointing out that the fence talk is mostly talk,

....like this thread that talks of how the 'fence' is working in Texas.

Problem is, there isn't any new fence in Texas.

Because I point out reality, I'm pro-illegal or pro open borders?

It's true enough that I don't think people have much of an idea what a fence might cost to actually build it, I doubt very much it will ever be built to the extent that it will be very effectve, and I'm not so sure that a fence will fix any of the problems we face.

.....but none of that means I'm for an open border.

Our borders, north and south, have been easily identified as open borders, it's not any misuse of language to speak of them as such.

Yes, we do have immigration controls, but they haven't included physical barriers until very recent history.

As far as anarchy, even by your definitions, we don't have anarchy now, and we certainly didn't devolve into anarchy over the many years we had literally 'open borders'.

All the hyper exaggerations, whether they be about consequences of certain actions, or inactions, all the exaggerated language, and hyper divisive side-taking, and unfounded labeling only serves to make it unlikely any real discussion of these issues will ever happen.

That the hype is coming from some quarters, it's only expected,

...I didn't expect that same type of thing from some other quarters......

......though, I'm less surprised with each passing day.

Sad to say hypocrites come in all colors. Please don't make the mistake of applying the hypcrite label to all Mexicans.

And even sadder, America is full of rapists and thiefs that don't think twice berfore they commit crimes against fellow Americans.
