look here, idk what is going on in the rest of the country. But in Hampton Roads, VA a booming (illegal) Latino population is costing black folks their jobs and their neighborhoods. Crime is going up like crazy (more illegals and black youth are turning to gangs b/c they have fewer blue-collar opportunties) and if there is one area on the east coast that can't afford to lose blue-collar jobs to illegals it is Hampton Roads.

There is a 50% chance you won't get a call back for a interview. That has nothing to do with immigration but racism and prejudice.

And; having a 'Hispanic' sounding name does not help either (till I had it legally changed in 1989)-------I know from personal experience never mind that I am Nordic White.

I don't think this is limited to any race, what this is about is the fact that there are poor, uneducated Americans of ALL RACES losing jobs or not being able to get a job because of illegal immigrants. If it's Shaqueena Jones --- or Khaleel Washington -- yes -- it might influence an interview -- but so do names like Bambi Jones or Perci Smith. Blacks with names like Thomas, Mary and so on probably have better chances -- just like whites.

No most of the old common names are derived from the bible. Hardly Islamic.Maybe you have isreal mixed up with Islam.
