I wonder if many Americans realize that the rest of the world looks with great mirth at their constant bleatings about "illegals".
It is seen as typical of Yank hypocrisy.

They can napalm millions of innocent villagers on the other side of the world,
bomb the crap out of half the Middle East,
terrorise just about every pissy little country in Central America,
depose democratically elected governments at will and impose tyrants,
maintain 1000 military bases and a monstrous navy to intimidate all and sundry,
put a man on the moon and all the other good stuff.......
AND THEY CAN'T BUILD A FENCE ?
Jeez, the ancient Chinese must have been smarter ....... ?

Australia, with roughly the same external border, with billions of Asians on our doorstep (including the world's largest Muslim country about as close as Cuba),
and one fifteenth of the population
well, we manage it.

Clearly the political WILL is not there.
Let the buggers in and exploit the hell out of them.
It's the American WAY !

I really doubt that the troops fighting in Iraq are stupid of history. It has always been that the few ensure democracy for the many. I would agree that each generation seems to not want to be bothered by having to scarifice anything for their freedom. Many think that they are owed things by being born when this world is still about survival.

Sounds a little hypocritical coming from a nation that forbade non-white immigrants as late as 1973--"White Australia" Policy, anyone? I understand some of your aborigines haven't yet graduated from the University, either. Maybe you'd better do a little "getting your house in order" before any more criticism of us "buggers" up here, Auntie......

BTW, I've checked and re-checked my World Atlas, and have yet to find Australia's International Border. Give me a himt--which of your neighboring countries lie across your border, and is it possible to cross on foot--- or do most folks take a taxi?...

Yes, the younger generation has very little allegiance to the US.

And if there was ever a serious war or depression, America would be in deep trouble. Actually you can't even really say we're living in America anymore. It's America in name only and in certain segments only but we're largely living in an "economic zone".

America could never be destroyed militarily or economically but it could culturally. And here's how they did it.

First keep in mind, that amost all media (TV, movies, top pr firms, top ad agencies) are located in LA and NY city. If you control the media, you control the images people see, the words they hear and the feelings they feel. It's a handful of major companies that run most of the major media.

Now, we all know the school systems in the US are absolutely shameful. Instead of teaching hard sciences, we're teaching "Jane has two daddies." or self-esteem classes or some other nonsense. Or a faulty way of reading or doing math. The ability of your average American to by default "critically think" has been stripped of him or her. Thus that person is reactive and controlled by utilizing emotional images and rhetoric.

To destroy America's sense of duty to God and country, multi-culturalism was introduced. How can you claim we're a Christian nation when there's all these other people with their own faiths? You can't unless you intend to alienate them.

Multi-culturalism creates chaos. There's a reason why there's 196 countries in the world. It's the 3rs that always cause war. (Race, Religion and Resources.) Now when there's chaos and mistrust due to racial and religious divisions, it allows the government an opportunity to introduce more police state laws and to start cracking away at free speech.

When you see your neighborhoods, indeed your state change demographically, you begin to lose your allegiance to protect that land. Then it becomes every man or group for themselves.

To destroy the family unit, a new concept of family was introduced. The feminism and gay rights agenda.

In a nutshell this is what's going on. Now if America had the same demographics of lets say the 1950's and the same education system, then yes, you'd see the America you remember.

In 1950 the U.S demographics was significantly Whiter. Are you saying minorities have driven down the education system in general and have soley contributed to the gradual downfall of the U.S?

I live in a town where the demographics ratio highly resembles that of the U.S'. Our principal is of Mexican decent. Does that answer your question?

Think bigger than that and further back in time to let's say the 60's.

You mean the hippie era? Black Panthers? Brown Berets? The Civil Rights Era? That was the time minorities were fighting for their rights. And look where we are today
