This shows how entitled they feel as a result of our lack of backbone and willingness to enforce our own laws.

Mach50 claims 'Latino' due to his mother being from Mexico; he stated that his dad was of generic 'Anglo' (Irish) heritage.

Go to Mexico and break their laws and see what they do to FOREIGN people who break the laws. You wont see daylight for a long time.

If they dont like our laws then go home, we dont like you being here in the first place breaking our laws. No more free rides.

Generic Anglo?

By Anglo, are we to assume "generic white?"

There is nothing generic about the Irish. Their ancestors were hunter gatherers from continental Britain and Europe, probably via a land bridge. Little archaeological evidence of these first settlers remains, but their descendents and later arrivals from the Neolithic Iberian Penninsula were responsible for major archaeological sites such as Newgrange, a passage tomb in the County Meath, one of the most famous prehistoric sites in the world.

Around the year 800 A.D., the hardy Celts were invaded by the Vikings who relentlessly wreaked havoc upon its citizenry for about a century, yet the Irish proved strong enough to not only survive, but to assimilate the invaders.

Later came the Normans and then the English, but the Irish survived and flourished.

I'd hardly call them "generic" but then I guess I have a tendency to forget that Anglo civilization is about as interesting and complicated as a slice of soggy Wonder Bread. I mean, those Latino stonehenges, gothic catherdrals, and pre-medieval structures are waaaay more fascinating than any old European monolith.....

Mexican President Felipe Calderon, who has has publicly stated his concern for the "growing harassment" and "frank persecution" of Mexicans in the United States, will make his first official visit to California Wednesday and will meet with immigrant leaders among others.

Speaking to the Mexican government's migrant assistance agency in November, his comments about "persecution" appear to have been aimed at U.S. presidential candidates who voiced their desire to curb illegal immigration. He also expressed disappointment at Congress' inability to agree on an immigration reform measure.

yikes!

Easy there

What I meant by 'generic' Anglo (English, Hungarian, Friench, Irish, Greek, Norwegian, etc) is that culturally speaking; those of us here in the USA today tend to hold pretty similar views within the the same socio-economic group.

In other words: we perceive ourselves as 'White Boys'

Whereas self described 'Hispanics' frequently claim something else.....unsure as to what it seems.

For the record: most males in the UK as well as Ireland share the same basic 'Y' Chromosome as do most Spaniards and Portuguese------by extension that same 'Y' is quite prevalent in the Americas------both North and South.
