In the 2016 presidential campaign no issue is more contentious than immigration. Often overlooked in the fevered debates over walls at the border and deportation are the fates of more than four million children who are U.S. citizens but live in families where one or more of their parents or guardians are not. They have a constitutional right to be here, and we have a moral obligation to provide them the opportunity to become healthy and productive adults – not just for their sake but for the future of our nation.
It's not our fault that the parents decided to come here illegally and birth a child. They had that child all the while knowing that, being here illegally, they were at risk for deportation. Obviously, these illegals never gave a thought as to what the consequences of their actions would have on their kids.
As you pointed out, every day Americans go to jail and families are separated. The parents can't take their kids with them when they get imprisoned. I don't hear the invasion cheerleaders getting upset about that.
No one is stopping illegals from taking their kids with them should the parents get deported. In fact, that's what any decent parent would do.
These parents can take their U.S. born minor kids with them when they are deported. If the parents are allowed to remain here because of them then the pro-illegals shouldn't complain when they get called "anchor babies" because giving birth on our soil would indeed be anchoring their parents unto our country. The kid's health should be just fine by going with their parents. So their arguments are moot.
I'm sure it does and we can deport the kids with the parents if the kids were not born in the United States or if the parents want to keep custody of their kids they can go with them. Illegal immigration is causing many problems and we have to find a solution to it instead of continuing to support illegal immigrants by giving them drivers licenses, allowing them to run for public office and preventing their deportation. (All of those things I mentioned are happening in California what a disgrace.)

What kind of parent would willingly abandon their children instead of taking them with them, or, abandon them by refusing to send for them after they are resettled back into their own country?
