They should feed the parents information into a database since they entered the US illegally and process them!

That isn't a sweeping generalization.

AP classes and Honors classes are standard fare in high schools nationwide, and have been for decades.

You either don't have kids in HS, or aren't familiar with the concept of "grade inflation".

In order to get rid of affirmative action Texas gives college entry to the top 10%. It is a little tighter at UT And A&M.

IIRC, we have to educate all the kids here, not just the ones we approve of. As a poster on the other thread about this, valedictorian gives her a scholarship.

The only people upset about illegals are Trump supporters and CD posters.

Nobody else gives a damn. If they did, all these businesses who hire them would have folded years ago.

A Law firm that deals with immigration stuff estimates that 1/2 the construction workers in Texas are undocumented. One of the biggest supporters of amnesty was a Texas home builder, Bob Perry. He also gave hundreds of thousands to Texas politicians.

Uh; looking at the different Yahoo and so on Comments sections, the angry posts AGAINST illegal aliens AND their fans runs about 5 to 1. Not all of those posters are Trump fans, either.

Illegal alien kids; they just NEED to be locked up with their parents, held then deported. Period.

Crockett High School - Austin, Texas - TX - School overview

3 out of 10.

State accountability rating of "Met Standard," which is low.

Crockett High School in Austin , Tx - ranking, school information, ratings, test scores, test results

The school's demographics tell the whole story right there.

AP and Honors classes carry more weight, which is why the illegal alien's GPA was higher than a 4.0. A 4.0 scale did exist when my father was in high school, but that was in the 1950s.

In 2016, when you see a valedictorian with a mid-4's GPA, you can rest assured that the high school is not a highly-ranked school.
You are right; Crockett HS is not a highly-ranked school.

My freshman class at UT-Austin had lots of these kinds of people in it: ranked high in their class in a mediocre school or a sub-par district, first in their family to graduate high school or attend college, grew up speaking a language other than English in the home, etc.

Far more often than not, these kids washed out freshman year.

Why do you think Bob Perry and those like him support amnesty. They profit off the low wages of the undocumented. And btw, more than Trump supporters care about illegals flooding the borders.

I figured it was not a highly-ranked school -- thanks for confirming with the link you posted.

That's usually what happens to kids like this. They make it through the first semester of their freshman year, then just drop out. I would bet that this valedictorian was likely the only English-speaking person in the house (unless she has siblings). High school success is one thing, college success is an entirely different thing.

Better yet --- Make her and all the other so-called DREAMers get foreign student visas to go to college in this country. After all, that's what they are --- foreign students.

A student who was born and raised in, for example, Mexico and wants to go to UTSA, has to get a foreign student visa and pay full freight.

We are punishing foreign students for obeying our immigration laws while letting illegals who are squatting in this country get away with it and to and insult to injury, allow them to go to state schools and pay in-state rates---and get full scholarships.

You are correct---this illegal who is bragging about having no business being here is a brat. Not only that, she was not raised to have a moral compass.

LOL...geez, could any comment possibly be any snobbier than this one?
