If we want open borders; we might as well want no military. Why send our troops half way around the world to protect us and then leave the doors open - it doesn't make sense. Security starts at home; not in Afghanistan, Iraq or Syria. If we are inviting an invasion; why pay for the military? We can save our tax dollars and buy our own guns to defend our own homes!
I'd be OK with it if the agreement terms were bilateral (and barred countries that tend to be terrorist breeding grounds).
But we all know that "open borders" would only apply to the US, and Americans would never be equally free to easily immigrate to the same countries taking advantage of America's open borders.
Absolutely and unequivocally no. I don't like to feel unsafe without knowing who's coming into this country and to HAVE a country, we absolutely CANNOT have open border.
A simple "yes" or "no" will do. I'm not asking anything beyond this question so going off on tangents like what to do with the people that are already here is "off topic".
Hell No! Secure those borders and deport everyone who do not have current Passports, Visa and or Work Permits.
If you have an 'open' border, you don't have a border. You would have what is similar to a U.S. state 'line'. Anyone in the world that can make their way to Mexico could just walk/drive into the U.S. Sort of what's happening now with our immigration laws not being enforced.
No, no borders no sovreignity.
The current Administration has been acting as if our borders are open already worst intolerable results.
