We need a national ID where our biometrics are shown. This ID must have our SSN encrypted. This ID database should be accessible by any law enforcement officer.
Regarding Social Security cards, the system needs to link their database to the national ID, so whenever an applicant provide a "SSN" this one will bring up his/her picture to the screen of the employer. No more phony ID's, no more ID theft, no more illegals.

So you support the Real ID? You really should do some research on it before you decide that government monitoring of free citizens is a good thing. We don't need a 'new' ID card, we need our CURRENT laws enforced instead of ignored.

When all else fails, READ THE DIRECTIONS!!

I find it interesting when American citizens seem to have no problem with the goverment having more control over their lives.

what I find--FRIGHTENING -- is the ID system we have now requires over a week to determine the identity of an illegal who runs a stop sign and kills 4 Minnesotan kids riding in a school bus.

She also had an ID, but it took many ICE investigators over a week to figure out who she really was.

Doesn't say much about the ID system now in place that illegals can easily circumvent !

And a national ID for citizens would have made that process easier HOW???

ever hear of fingerprinting?

The phoney ID card had someone else's name . (stolen identity)

If a fingerprint had been on the cards it quickly could have been matched.

So you're suggesting that all Americans get fingerprinted, or retinal scanned, or SOMETHING to make ID's less forgeable, and somehow you think illegal aliens are going to line up for this procedure?
