I think you paint a picture of "What Could Happen" and my concern is exactly what you have posted. The University System should be reviewed and the Public support Colleges should go under a full review to return the Values and purpose why our children go to Higher Education.

An immigration loop hole is the so called student visa in which thousands of non citizens gain access and stay in the USA after the expiration of the visa. As jobs for Americans continue to disappear we need to stop the influx.

I wish they would walk back to their own legal countries. They can protest what they don't want in their own legal country.

Yet, places like Mexico don't allow illegal immigrants from central and south America and they want to build a wall on their southern border.

You also have to be a citizen to buy real estate in their country which I wish would be a law in this country as well.

The solution is merely enforce the Law. We plenty laws on the books concerning on how foreign guest come o this country on a Educational Visa. The Universities need to monitor the status of these students if they allow Foreigners to attend. All the Universities have to do is send a report to ICE and BP and let the correct law enforcement take action.
No more, No less!

If the Universities refuse to manage these programs these universities programs should be defunded!

Stanford does have a generous tuition program for families in the $125,000/year income range, though.
My brother in law went to grad school there. He got half off as he completed his masters in one year. So he wouldn't have had time for a walk out. He's a republican.

I think they should have a 'sanctuary campus' for illegal alien MS-13 gang members! They obviously need an education and that would 'educate' them in a hurry!

That will likely be the only way that they realize sanctuary campuses or cities ain't such good ideas after all.

What the hell have the liberals done to our education system?

It seems to me that there is a whole generation of lemmings. I grew up in the 60's with all the civil rights issues and imo valid reasons and changes took place.

Todays younger folks seem to not really have a true civil "cause" and for the life of me it appears that they simply follow the loudest complaining voices.

I would think that folks here on visa's would appreciate their opportunities to study and then take their knowledge back to their home countries to help improve the lives of their countrymen....It appears instead they adapt a sense of entitlement, adapting our laws and civil rights issues which imo is undeserved by anyone who hasn't really been part of our Country except by visitor status.

Illegal folks of all colors/races are allowed to apply for citizenship through the proper channels...Many do not participate and it seems to be a slap in the face of those that have.

I worry about the things that I'm seeing play out in the name of politics. This is the most unsettled that I've seen our country in many years.

The problem with our educational system today is the problem that was caused by corporate America going after the unions fifty years ago. Back then they tried to formulate any strategy that would curtail union power - they wanted to call all of the shots. They formulated the 'replaceable' plan. If employees did not like the plan they offered; they would move their operation. First they moved South, then they moved farther south to South of the border, finally - all countries were in play for 'cheaper' labor. then they outsourced and brought in cheap labor and pushed for more visas. Of course our educational system bought into this replaceable theory by training more foreign students and they seem more apt to grab American jobs than our students (coincidence?). Of course none of this hurt the unions in the public sector that still seem to flourish!

Trump ran on the promise to put us first. That will not be easy with the pending rise in automation. However; it should still be better than administrations that put the world first. We will have to wait and see.
