Just about every country in the world you can face deportation if you are a legal immigrant. If illegal you will be deported for being there illegally. Only in the USA do we seem to feel that illegals are entitled to special treatment.

Undocumented immigrants face deportation even for minor crimes

Writing bad checks IS a felony, Machado.
She should have been deported so she didn't have any anchors.

The federal government is out of control

This is why Los Angeles is now rushing to 'legalize street vending' ..many illegals are illegally operating street vending carts .
The point of this was to 'protect immigrants from Trump"..

Citing Trump, L.A. Council Members Announce Plan to Protect Immigrant Street Vendors | KTLA

This city council is the most overpaid in the nation. Over $170,000 plus amazing benefits and bribes i'm sure.
For what?..

I think we have too many lawyers and we want to keep them busy! Although I don't understand why invaders have any rights? Why is this problem so complicated; especially when they break additional laws? If North Korea was pouring across our border we would be able to call it what it is and treat them appropriately. Because of our ineffectual enforce/don't enforce attitude we have painted ourselves into the position we are currently in.

"Undocumented" is so 1984, i.e. "Newspeak". The correct term is Illegal

The only thing George Orwell got wrong was the date.
