I think at first we prevent illegal immigrant children from obtaining an education in the public system. It removes the incentive to bring family along. It would reduce illegal immigration to those that are just seeking employment rather than relocation of family.
Next, prevention of employers from hiring illegals. That is the best route.
Finally, deportation even for minor offenses.
Involving the hospitals puts medical personal in an ethical dilemma in that public health would be placed second to legal status. As it is, they find it difficulties turn away the sick even if they have no ID nor proof of insurance.
I like the idea of a wall even though it will be only nominally effective and thus not cost effective. As such, I would support the wall only if the tax payer will not pay for it. Otherwise, it is a waste of tax funding. If it got funded by Mexico, why not.... more security isn't a bad thing. Trump can pay for it himself if he thinks it will make America great again.
I agree with most of what you have said. However, the wall would be very cost effective as illegal aliens cost us $113 billion a year vs a $25 billion wall. Where that type of wall has already been erected it works. I have posted a couple of links in here proving it. Do I need to post them again?
No I am not a racist. It would require two brain cells to realize that many low level odd jobs are done by illegals (who could be of any color) at minimum wage.

Who do you think were doing those jobs for a "fair" wage until millions of cheap illegals flooded our border?

for an employer to pay you $50 an hour to clean the toilets, he would have to raise the price of whatever is he selling. Did you read the thread on how Bay Area restaurants are closing for not being able to pay the jacked up minimum wage?
It's basic common sense ... Milk gallon will be like $10.99 plus tax if the grocery store is forced to pay $45 an hour to sales clerk.

When have employers ever paid $50 an hour to clean toilets? I said "fair" wage not a ridiculous wage.
Talk to the Democrats about raising the minimum wage. They're the ones who pushed for it. Since when does raising the minimum wage include paying a grocery store clerk $45 an hour? You're grasping at straws here and making unfounded claims.

I have no doubt that illegal aliens cost us $113billion...
I'm not convinced that the effective cost of illegal aliens ($113 billion) would be reduced significantly even with the $25billion wall. It isn't a zero sum game nor is the wall a proven measure.

I get paid minimum wage here in Arizona and I'm an American. Tho in Bullhead City 10 dollars an hour ain't that bad cause housing's cheap.

50 an hour? A LOT of college educated people WOULD trash their degrees to do janitor work for that kind of $$$.
