Not all liberals want amnesty. And...Open Borders? What country has open borders! That is nuts. Closed borders & good getting. Illegals go out & come back in the legal system way.
Never thought I would feel this way, maybe it's time we start chipping illegals before sending them back. No amnesty and no free pass. Illegals need to be held accountable. I definitely think we should seize their assets to help offset the cost of deportation. That in itself will trigger some self deportations.
If we sit back, hope for the best, and do nothing the amnesty bill may get passed and then the damage is done. Maybe we need to make our voices heard and let our politicians know that the next election will have consequences for THEM.

Chipping away at them? Yeah, that could be underway. I agree with seizing assets since they were gained by the criminal act of entering the US without authorization. Cost of transportation? How about the $113 billion they cost taxpayers a year? Maybe we could send THEIR government a bill for their care. As we know, the Mexican government puts out a brochure to facilitate their illegal journey to the US.
American companies like meat packing industry puts signs up in Mexico about jobs in America they don't say how to get to America or the company will get a work visa for them. They just advertise that there are jobs for them just get there somehow.
Republican Senator Thom Tillis (NC) has come up with a new immigration reform bill which sounds like it would include amnesty and legalization for the over 11 million illegal immigrants living in the United States. As the WSJ notes, Tillis’ amnesty bill “gives each party something that it wants,” reiterating that pairing amnesty will tougher border security could be the establishment GOP’s path towards passing comprehensive immigration reform.
“The left will say it doesn’t go far enough toward open borders and then the other end of the spectrum, which is: ‘We won’t be satisfied until you collect everyone and send them home,’ which is just not practical nor, do I believe, in the best interests of the U.S.,” Tillis told the Journal.
He was on TV this morning saying that he is confident it will get 60 votes and that the President will sign it.

I have done something. I have listed all the supporters of Amnesty, sanctuary cities, open borders, anti-deprotation groups, DACA/DAPA supporters, Dream Act supporters, etc.
It's a huge list so I had to put in a blog (sorry, I think it exceeds city data's character limit.)
Amnesty doesn't benefit the American worker/taxpayer so no it's not reasonable or sensible for them. The 1986 amnesty was to be the last one. No more amnesties end of story.
Sadly, however, we've had several stealth amnesties since then
