TIJUANA, Mexico—Guadalupe Olivas Valencia was deported to Mexico on Tuesday morning. He was handed the last of his possessions in a clear U.S. government-issued plastic bag, and dropped off in Tijuana, at the international border dividing the United States from Mexico.
Less than an hour later he was dead.
Olivas was deported for at least the third time in his troubled life on Tuesday morning, but this time it would be his last. He leaped to his death from a pedestrian bridge at the international border, landing in a concrete river bed a stone’s throw from the metal fences meant to keep people like him out of San Diego, out of California, and out of the United States.
“We have expressed our concern to Secretaries Tillerson and Kelly over the respect toward the rights of the Mexicans in the United States, in particular their human rights,” Videgaray said.
Ummm ...... what rights of the Mexicans in the United States are these folks worried about? Are they claiming they have some right to remain here illegally?
Who knows if this is even true....unless he somehow "messed himself up " with the local drug cartel..who would probably put a hit order out for him upon the knowledge of his return?
A million stories in the naked city...and he was not worried about his actions upon our citizens nor country was he?
What was his criminal record or "rap sheet".... how long was it?
It's sad, but ultimately not our concern. The fact that people think it is, that the USA is responsible for the lives of everyone we can conceivably think of, is silly.
It is sad that the guy took his own life. He must have felt hopeless.
The problem is that he was deported 3 times and obviously never took the fact that he was illegally in the US seriously.
This gives new meaning to the phrase 3 strikes and you are out.
Maybe with the wall this won't happen anymore.
When the chances of getting in to the US are greatly reduced people will stop risking their lives in the journey to get here.
There is a great untold story of suffering that these people endure at the hands of cartels and greedy human smugglers.

If he entered the country illegally three times he was a felon.
