Why don't they just move back to Mexico? When is CNN going to get the picture that a majority of Americans don't want illegal immigrants here. I even know hispanics that don't want them here.

Actually a majority of American prefers some plan to legalize the illegal aliens rather than deport. Been true for years. And in family situations the view is almost unanimous.

No those polls that say the majority of Americans want them are the same ones that had Hillary Clinton favored to win in a landslide. Fake news

The Gallup poll well predates Clinton and other recent elections and the results are much the same. And pretty much the poll results for Clinton and Trump were accurate. You just needed to understand what they said which was well past the ken of much of the Right.

That's been tried before legalizing illegals called the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986. It created a guest worker program for farm workers, gave Amnesty to 3.2 million who were illegally here, and boosted money to border patrol. How did that work out for us since 1986? we now have 11 million waiting for the next Amnesty.

And how has enforcement without legalization worked over the last 30 years?

We screwed it up. Fact of life. And could do so again. Or we could go on as we are and end up with 20 million illegals 10 years from now. What is your choice?

We have no intention of trying to deport 11 million people. So we legalize or live with the result...which may well be 20 million.

What we do is create laws which strictly enforce hiring of an illegal with real penalties if you get caught hiring or subcontracting. If they can't find work they will go back home until employment of illegal workers is stopped completely we will never be able to fix this problem. If we go by your logic we might as well have open borders allow anyone in why even enforce any immigration laws if we legalize anyone who breaks them?

So many of you do not seem to understand. There is vehement opposition in the US to tighter employment laws. It is OK to punish the employee but not the employer. And they can make it stick forever. So your view is we can never fix the problem. So perhaps we should simply legalize most and end the nonsense.

Looking at the "Comments" after MSM, Yahoo, LA Times and so on news stories: MOST people want illegal aliens GONE. Period.
