Those people and the ones that were brought over here when they were little kids and educated in America in schools. ( educating a kid isn't cheap and we already paid for k-12) The rest? Adios.

A good portion of those anchor kids end up being some pretty nasty gang members too. SD Unified has some serious issues from these kids. Especially since we started the DROP program and we tax payers bus them to the school of their choice.

Yeah, really!

I just read today that the wife is HERSELF an immigrant from Greece who is a naturalized US citizen.

So...she can't plead ignorance AT ALL.

The cheek of these people...the VERY CHEEK of them...is galling. I'm disgusted. I think we should deport the pathetic lot of them.

Oh, I would have an age cutoff. If they are in elementary or Jr. High? They can go home. I'm even iffy on the high school kids. I'm specifically speaking about the young adults that were raised here and are either working or going to post-secondary school of some sort.

Update...he's been deported. Seriously he had no right to be here. Next time come back the legal way and wait like everyone else.

In 2000, the ICE spokeswoman said, a federal immigration judge granted him “voluntary departure” for a 60-day period. Because he didn’t leave the United States during that period, his “voluntary departure order reverted to a final order of removal,” the spokeswoman said.
So in other words, if this nimrod had left the US for 60 days -- a whopping TWO months -- everything would have been addressed in 2000 (17 years ago) and he would have been on his way to becoming a legal citizen, despite originally entering illegally.

Whelp, guess you were wrong. ICE seemed to play dirty with this one and got things their way. I'd guess he will be back in 1-2 with a good lawyer.

I dont think so. Just read another article where 5 people who also ignored their final deportation orders were arrested and waiting to be deported. At least one guy had a family here. He ignored his deportation orders for 16 years, married and started a family. These situations where just ignored under the Obama administration. But now they are not getting breaks. Although those with criminal backgrounds are priority it is still policy to deport others violating federal orders.
They met with immigration officers to apply for legal residency
