I think if he just took a super politically correct tone like most politicians then people wouldn't view him as serious about wanting to really change things .

Trump could be like Obama, who deported more illegal aliens than any president and reduced the flow of illegal immigration.

Trump is doing the same thing as Obama except in a very clumsily.
.

This is madness. A state cannot legislate issues of federal law. Will California also be passing laws about US currency or taxes on foreign imports?

Jerry Brown's crazy enough to try it. I'd love to see the feds step in and, take control of Calif.

There are so many people moving here from California, it's unbelievable. Farms are selling acreage, there are houses being built on every available parcel of land. I know the majority are from California due a local group, where they post questions about living here and complain we don't have a Super Target.
When they asked why they left CA, none of them will admit the truth.

Are you sure? Would anyone want CA?

I would be surprised if min wage in Texas is higher than $10 by the time it's $15 in CA

Saving 50% just on labor would be a big incentive for businesses to move .
It would be nice if CA politicians stopped with these experiments .
In one of those shots of demonstrations (don't remember location) I spotted a sign that read "Undocumented and Underpaid."

MOST of Calif's still the US; the bad areas are SF bay area and LA county. Too; that state's got the best weather.

Isn't any official who are elected swear to uphold the law?

So in a way failing or refusing to enforce current law, shouldn't that be a felony in itself where they can be removed from office and face prosecution?

I'm still not getting why the president is not taking this angle and stick it to those sanctuary city officials.

And now even more illegals will flood in from south of the border, other states, and overseas, putting even greater strain on an already strained state whose only solution is to tax and fine everyone to death. California is trying it's darnedest to become a little piece of third world Latin America inside US borders.

To be fair: Trump's only been POTUS for about 2 months. Just like when Obama was sworn in 8 years ago, I gave the dude a chance cause he was a newbie.
