The anchor babies are American citizens. If forced to leave with a parent they will be back. Guess how that will work out?
It's doesn't matter. Obama played the illegals since their kind never got any amnesty and, like Trump will be any better? lol

Partial resolution of the illegal alien problem was blocked by the Republicans in Congress. Would not even let the Senate proposition come to a vote. That was because it would have passed.

So we understand the right wing will continue to prevent resolving the question if they can. However they also will do nothing toward deportation or significantly changing employment conditions. So we just continue along as we have been for another 4 years.

Hey eventually all the illegals will die of old age.

Perhaps true...but not if get another 10 million because you did not address the problem. We have effectively a well established fifth column to support another invasion of Hispanics. All we need is the right economic conditions and again they will come flooding in.

And we undermine our own systems by creating the need for off the books employment. Really wand to live in a Greece where all lie about their income?

WHERE will you get your other big group of "Hispanic" people? I DON'T think it'd be through Mexico cause that country ain't real happy with Guatemalans and so on crossing on Mexico's land. Too; for every Mexican who comes here, word is at least 1 goes back home.

All the MORE reason to NEVER gives those lawbreakers any kind of amnesty.

Mostly from Mexico. Easily get another 5 to 7 million and then Central and South America fill in the rest. All you need is a bad recession in Mexico and they will come flooding in. And they will be impossible to stop because of the support systems we have established for them with the present illegal population.

And we remain vulnerable unless we can get the illegal population well under a million...at a level we can successfully police.

Their kind and WILL be stopped, especially with Trump as POTUS. Tho I just hope Mexico would be Ok with losing maybe a million of its younger dudes to our Armed Forces cause that WOULD be an invasion.

Dream on. The way you see the priorities set in any government is where the money goes. Trump may carry on loudly but he won't put the forces in the street to control the illegals. Among other reasons he does not have the forces.

By the time Trump reacts it will be 2020 and someone else will be President.

What I don't understand is why groups do not go after being able to adjust status in country or cancellation of removal. These are things that many here illegally use to their defense and end up getting residency through. However I almost never see it used as a point of attack.

The problem with letting a problem fester for 30 years is the people involved develop resources and ties and can use all the defenses available.

You can easily deport a fresh arrival. Virtually instantly at the border and pretty quickly even inland. But someone with years here has a compelling story and will defend it in the courts.

And that is why deportation of the large body of the illegals is not workable. You need an immense court system 8 or 10 times bigger then the one we have and you may still lose many cases.

So basically the long term population can resist and will. And you may well lose may cases.
