RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA —
“I cried,” said Itzel Gonzalez, on learning she was eligible for DACA, the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program that granted temporary immunity to undocumented young people who were brought to the United States as children.

It was during her last year on high school. “I was like, I can work. I can earn some money this summer to help my mom out…I can go to school and get my license. I cried that day."

Undocumented Students, Living in Limbo

Itzel: just go HOME and help build up Mexico.

He's not going to end DACA. If anything I foresee a path to residency only.

If she has any anger it should be directed to her mom.

I don't really have one really. I see the argument for both sides.

Why do you foresee a pathway to giving residency to illegals? How is this beneficial to the citizens of this country?

Politically it would be smart. They and any citizen family they may have would remember and possibly vote republican in the future. Also more tax dollars etc. if they're overstay DACAers, chances are they'll have a path to citizenship if they marry someone here.

If they were to receive anything it should be a green card not citizenship. But we should not reward law breakers and we should also not move them ahead of people that respect our laws and are immigrating legally. Most of these people are poor, uneducated, unskilled that would receive government benefits, I highly doubt they would vote Republican.

Exactly why I said a path to residency. However anyone who adjusts status in county is ahead of those outside of the country anyway. Just how uscis works

The path is already there. The majority will not qualify because we do not want a large influx of poor uneducated unskilled people.
