Yeah? So? And this has what to do with illegal immigrants? Answer: Nothing

The number I gave you was from BLS as of Dec 2007. Look it up.

I'm not myopic as you are - I don't focus on one industry. Nor, do the unemployment numbers only look at one industry.

Fact remains, the employer sanctions law is in effect. Employers are getting rid of illegals - and I'm sure there are some (employers) who are not.

Fact remains, many illegals are leaving AZ - and that is good for AZ.

Fact remains, that there are going to be employers who are going to be "taken to task" for hiring illegals - there may be some filings as early as this next week.

AND, our legislature is doing "housekeeping" on the new law too - they are filling in a few holes - including one where some (illegals) were viewed as "independent contractors" and employers could hire them. Well, that one is going away too.

So, face FACTS there Capt - at least as it applies to Arizona, Az is taking a strong stand against the illegal population - employer sanctions, no in state tuition for illegals, no state welfare benefits, needing to prove residency status of the parents before benefits for a child (even an anchor baby) - etc.

Nevada should do the same.

Oh, and those construction jobs? Hey - right now, they are not needed anyway.

How clever of you GD...So we agree that the reason many if not most hispanics are leaving the area is because residental construction jobs have gone away and there is no need for replacements?

Same thing is happening in LV Greatday...lots of hispanics leaving over the lack if construction jobs. Dozens and dozens of nice homes in the moderate price range where the owners are hispanic. Can't make the nut without the construction jobs. So on the must go...

That is of course what I suggested up front isn't it?

Greatday and Olecapt,

I think you guys need to take this argument to a private level, I mean you need to email directly each other. Please keep the forum in a smooth environment, no attacks, have fun and contribute finding a solution. We are not suppose to be fighting each other, thats not the point. Illegals need to see us UNITED as a solid group with one common goal, ALL ILLEGALS GONE.

No, we do not agree on this

For, one would have to assume that the majority of those jobs you related to were held by illegal immigratants - which it has been shown that they were not.

Also, you leave out of the equation employers (non construction related) that were hiring illegals - food and service industry, landscaping, healthcare, education, government etc.

Nope - I will not, and do not, agree with your statement above.

Now, there is a very true statement.

Besides - Olecapt just is not happy unless he is being disagreeable -

If he thinks they deserve a free pass, then he needs to learn a foreing language and I would be happy to pay his relocation expenses. In other words, let give him the free pass, I mean a one-way ticket to join the illegals in their homeland.

Nope. The rightist xenophobes can carry on but Oleceapt position is consistent. They should not have been here...but they are here, have been here for a while, have citizen children, are integrated into our society and are practically not removable. The fairy tailers will of course continue their "self deport" scheme. It won't happen and we eventually end up with an amnesty.

GD has no idea who is leaving AZ. There is indication that hispanics are leaving AZ primarily over a lack of jobs and a hostile socio-political climate. Some certainly are illegal but there is not any evidence of a significant return to Mexico. They are leaving both AZ and NV searching for jobs.

The fairytailers like GD will continue to claim success until the amnesty occurs and then they will claim they were sold out by the traitors.

Reality seldom moves true believers.

Deporting illegals is stupid if you not fine the employers too.

olecapt will be caught and punished soon-------assuming that he/she is not simply a smartaleck jokester.

People who knowingly hire illegal immigrants and brag about it always catch it in the end
