Immigration arrests rose 32.6 percent in the first weeks of the Trump administration, with newly empowered federal agents intensifying their pursuit of not just undocumented immigrants with criminal records, but also thousands of illegal immigrants who have been otherwise law-abiding.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested 21,362 immigrants, mostly convicted criminals, from January through mid-March, compared to 16,104 during the same period last year, according to statistics requested by The Washington Post.

ICE immigration arrests of noncriminals double under Trump

Def a good start. ^^^

Sounds good and I'm guessing those sexual assaults and other crimes not being reported in Latino communities are coming from the illegal aliens, so they will get some relief as we continue to enforce our immigration laws. That does show the problem, they bring their crime and 3rd world living conditions to our country with them.

When enforcing immigration law, there is no room for the myth of the "otherwise law-abiding" illegal alien. The adjective "illegal" just says it all!

Only focus on the criminal elements. Provide a path to legalization for the law abiding ones.

What don't leftists get about the point that the very fact that these individuals are in the USA means that they are not law abiding!

There's no such thing as a "law abiding illegal alien" "Law abiding illegal alien" is an oxymoron.

Agree with the 2nd and 3rd posters here; IF here illegally, ALL aliens are lawBREAKERS out of the box.

We have been over and over this, entering the US without authorization is a CRIME, I have posted the link to that many, many times. Also, the "otherwise law abiding" is a myth since the minute they accept employment, they have committed an unlawful act, lie to get services, steal an identity, drive without a license.............

As far as visa overstayers, they are also breaking immigration law.

Break the law, suffer the consequences. How many of us were taught as young children? This is not "rocket science".

Here's my experience last night. A group of young Asians, Chinese, came through the grocery store. They were teenagers and one seemed a little older than the others, maybe in his early 20s. They were literally shouting at each other the entire time. They would be in the same aisle and they'd run back and forth excitedly shouting to each other or yelling if they got more than a few feet away. Where are these groups on young people coming from? I've seen kids from central America as well, with no adult present. Sure you see white and black and Spanish kids in packs, but you can tell if they're local and they aren't buying groceries.
Who is sponsoring these kids , who is supporting them, who is housing them and where are they getting their educations or work training? No parents are around. You hear stories about human trafficking, a lot of which are true.

I'm, not sure it is...total removals in 2016 under Obama was 240,000. so, 21,362 in a 3 month period = 7120 a month, or 85,440 a year.
