Not long after Aline Mello, a 28-year-old Brazilian immigrant and Dreamer, arrived at Atlanta's City Hall for Monday’s May Day rally for immigrants, she texted her mom a photo of herself, huddling under a pink umbrella and holding up a sign saying, “We are HUMANS.”

“She didn’t want me to come,” she said of her mother, who was at work cleaning houses. “She’s scared. Many older immigrants just keep their heads down, but we want to make our voices heard.”

“We grew up here,” said her friend, Diana Chavez, as she nodded, an immigrant from Mexico who moved to the U.S. in 2000. “We belong here. It’s important to let people know we’re part of this nation and we work hard and pay taxes."

Nice to see people still have compassion for their fellow man, like you do.

What she is doing is standing up for OTHER people so they can have the same opportunities that she had (and that you and I have). They interviewed a dream child the other day on NPR, and she has become a teacher who is contributing to the education of our young people. Contrary to what you Trumpees would love to think, most of these people are not "rapists, murderers, and drug dealers", even though you have been brainwashed by a man with orange skin.

By YOUR rules: I don't have compassion for illegal aliens; it is what it is, not my problem. Illegals just NEED to go. Period.

But why do so many illegal alien fans think it's Ok for illegals to try to cut in line in front of people who did things right in coming to the US?

Nobody has been brainwashed. The audacity of someone illegally in this country, and I don't care how they got here, demanding rights they don't have is enough to make the most kind person puke. They are rude, aggressive, demanding, and selfish. They need to leave or be escorted out.

As an American I express solidarity with law-abiding illegal immigrants. We will always advocate on their behalf and press on for immigration reform to legalize them. For the detractors -- it will happen sooner than you think. Everyday Americans are demanding compassion an change to help these people.

" with law-abiding illegal immigrants."

And THIS IS the problem.

They CANNOT be both, law abiding AND illegal.

To be illegal, means you BROKE SOME LAWS and continue to do so everyday you are here.

They are ILLEGALLY present in the USA. We enforce our laws when it comes to citizens, that we would enforce them against illegal aliens makes total and complete sense!

At what point are you going to stop calling President Trump's supporters schoolyard nicknames and talking about him having orange skin? At this point, I would think it would be embarrassing to act this way.

Compassion for criminals? Yeah, I don't have that either. Being a criminal or breaking any rule/law is a CHOICE that has consequences. Geesh, I learned that as a small child, although anyone that supported the morally, mentally and physically incompetent Hillary Clinton had the requirement of having a compassion for criminals!

Let's do this yet another time: "Law abiding illegal immigrant" is an oxymoron. If someone needs the definition for that, I can provide a link. Illegal aliens are not immigrants and they are criminals. Otherwise law abiding criminal? We have over 1 million non-violent citizens in our prison system, other than what put them there, they were law-abiding citizens, let's open the doors and release them! I mean, they were "otherwise law-abiding" other than the crime they committed and non-violent. Heck, under that assumption, we can let out anyone that broke our laws if other than the crime they committed, they were law abiding. How silly!

And, as I have already stated and provided links numerous times, Americans want the immigration laws enforced and the illegals out! OUT! OUT! OUT!

The Myth of the

Nearly everyone, if not everyone, of the illegal aliens I see in the news have committed additional crimes and/or broken additional laws. Many drink and drive as evidenced by the loss of lives of American citizens hit and killed by illegal aliens. Illegals don't see drinking and driving as an issue, perhaps not in their country, they should go back and kill their own citizens.

I know the age of sexual consent is lower in some of these countries or areas of their country, so they have helped themselves to our youth to satisfy their urges. I suspect many of these people, once their criminal records were brought forth, would never have qualified to come into the country.

We also don't allow rooster fighting and dog fighting, but that thrives where these people have settled and is often overlooked as part of their culture. They bring their uncivilized and immoral ways with them.

Get them out!

Putting the stupid comments in your post aside, I actually agree with your more rational points.
I have no problem with her speaking out, no problem with her staying.
But her dream of changing US policy is just a dream. It ain't gonna happen. Deportations are going to continue.
Fact is, her attempt to treat every illegal the same is as dumb as your attempt to treat every Republican voter the same.

The reason you Dems keep losing is because you keep trying to group all us Trump supporters into one ball. But I sure appreciate you trying to tell me "what I think".

We've had an illegal alien problem way before your guy became our President.

Not sure why this women is worried about being deported....I mean the article referred her as being an immigrant didn't it?
Why do liberals/open border people keep talking about immigrants as if there is some kind of problem with immigration (which there in my opinion there isn't) and lumping them together with illegal aliens while conservative separate legal and illegal using the correct terms of immigrants which they have little problems with v Illegal immigrates/aliens which the law says they are law breakers.

It is a fact illegals cost more to the American taxpayer then the amount they pay in taxes, such as schools and the health care system.
