Washington (AFP) - Illegal immigration across the US-Mexico border fell for the fifth straight month in April as the Trump administration's crackdown takes root, the Department of Homeland Security said Tuesday.
Apprehensions of undocumented immigrants, an indicator for the overall flow, fell to 11,129 in April, the lowest in decades, down two-thirds from the same month a year ago.
In the first three full months since President Donald Trump's inauguration on January 20, just over 42,000 were detained, compared to nearly 133,000 a year ago.

That is my concern. We received a reprieve when Hillary was beaten but what happens in 4 short years?
So far most everything Trump has done has been through executive order and those can be easily be ripped up on day one of a Liberal President.
I don't know why enforcing our immigration laws is so unpopular. People just seem to love their illegals and will give them sanctuary cities to live in.
Just imagine if our economy improves due to fewer illegal aliens draining the system that they pay very little into.
Right now people that are Pro illegal are thinking with their hearts when they need to think with their brains.

Tho word is for every Mexican, legal or illegal, coming to the US; a Mexican or 2 are going back home. A LOT of illegals coming in from Mexico in 2017 are Guatemalans and so on if talking Indian Hispanics.

I have no problem with those who come in legally from any country, I have a problem with all the illegals who need to go home or be deported ASAP and the anchor babies need to be stopped

This is why comprehensive immigration reform in the form of legislation needs be accomplished within the next two years, putting in real policy that reforms the system and not relying on the whim of each President to make ad hoc changes and he sees fit.
Why isn't Trump penalizing businesses that hire illegals???
Stopping the magnets that keep,them here is the fastest way to start self-deportations which will save taxpayers big bucks in not having all the legal deportation expense and hassle. Plus the billions in remittances sent to Mexico will stay here in our economy paying Americans.

That why we need total fencing that can't be removed. A far left liberal will just start firing border agents and tell ICE to tone it down
