Asian 'anchor babies': Wealthy Chinese come to Southern California to give birth - LA Times

I know for a fact that this is true. When I lived in Los Angeles, I taught ESL to a group of Korean mothers, who all entered legally on student visas and had children here, with the intent on having an anchor in the United States. Of the group of 8, all of them were on programs such as WIC and received housing vouchers, although they all had nice vehicles and designer handbags.

Only an insane society would allow this sort of abuse to go on without challenge, and only an insane segment would openly defend it as perfectly alright, as the left does.

Unfortunately as long as they show that they can cover the birth it is perfectly legal.

Yes, legal, but wrong and perfect argument for changing the birth-right citizenship clause.

It's been going on much longer than the Obama years

We should amend the Constitution if necessary, which very well may be required, to end this. It's outrageous. My spouse is a legal immigrant and we have worked very hard. There is no reason some other should get essentially what amounts to a free pass.

Wait until those wealthy offspring of wealthy foreign parents get their tax bill from the IRS every year, even if they never again return to the US. Did their parents realize they were sentencing their children to a lifetime of US federal income tax, etc., payments regardless of the source of income, and even if they never live in the US?

They'd have to find them first. And you're only required to pay taxes if you live overseas and making over 101k annually
