Did you read the part that they (Immigrants) could be refused entry even if they were to go the marriage route?

Take away their ability to exist here and they will self deport. The first step is to start holding them accountable.
By the way there are plenty of We Americans who are against any form of amnesty.

Despite you knowing that the 1986 amnesty was a total disaster, you still push amnesty Why?

After all, insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Ponder that for a while.

If they're in country already I mean. They can adjust in country if they entered on a tourist visa or work visa etc. those rejections are very few

Lies, you must be more attuned to public opinion on immigration. Virtually all Americans want us to secure our borders, enforce our laws but also provide a carve out to illegals here already without criminal records.

Listen, polls have consistently shown that Americans want legalize the decent illegals already settled here. Please dispose of your provincial attitude.

Ok Einstein, the reason for the failure was a lack of political will. Both parties have exploited illegals because of special interests. Do you think it is FAIR and readable to deport 12M+ people?

Trump being elected to POTUS confirmed my belief that people want the illegals deported. We need to secure the border for numerous reasons, one being to keep these illegal aliens in their home countries once we deport them.

An illegal alien has broken the law and the prescribed "punishment" for that needs to be administered just like with any other law. That is what everyone outside the bogus polls are actually saying.

The polls consistently said that Hillary Clinton would be POTUS. Go ahead and write President Hillary Clinton and tell her what you think would be FAIR.

We are going to stop exploiting illegals and they are going to stop exploiting our taxpayers. Seems FAIR.

It is FAIR to enforce our laws. We do it every second of the day in the USA.

It won't be long, and it has already started, where employers will start to shy away from hiring illegal aliens. They will start to use e-verify to protect themselves as the noose tightens on illegal aliens. Many were afraid to file for their child tax credits this year, others afraid to get their food assistance and I suspect medical care. As individual family members are hauled away, that will add to the anguish felt by those outside the law. As the quality of their lives becomes more and more diminished, their "home" will start to look better and better.

We can all see the approach here. Media plays up these stories for sympathy, yet the only thing happening is that they are putting the fear of deportation front and center for illegal aliens!

I think one thing you are not getting is that you do not support the enforcement of the laws of our country and yet expect everyone to greet you with open arms. It isn't so much illegal immigration, but the fact that you cannot support our country, our laws.

^^^^Yup. It is "readable[sic]" (actually, you meant to say "reasonable" so you have no high ground when engaging in name-calling) to deport illegals. Despite your fantasies of LEOs kicking in doors and demanding to see "papers", it won't happen. Just make life tough for illegals and they will leave on their own accord. Meanwhile, keep rounding up the worst of the worst.

So, you admit that the 1986 amnesty was a total disaster. Yet you want to repeat it again. Why? Do you think that things will somehow be different this time around? If so, get in touch with me. I have some oceanfront property in AZ to sell to you

We've been through this before---there are polls that say the complete opposite. Those who pay for the polls get the results they want to hear. You really need to read the methodology used for those polls you like.

Most people are fed up with illegals and want them gone. It's the rare illegal that hasn't committed a crime other than being here illegally. It's against the law for them to work, yet we currently have 8 million no-match SSNs in the workforce. It's against the law to commit tax evasion yet nearly every single illegal who works engages in it.

So, go out and find those illegals who are here and never worked, never used our health care system and never tapped into welfare programs for their anchor babies. I'm sure that you will discover that such illegals are as rare as unicorns.

If the alien has three misdemeanor convictions or a felony conviction, however, the term of imprisonment can be up to 20 years. This is not as harsh as some of the criminal provisions which are in the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) already. Smuggling an alien into the country or helping one to remain here unlawfully (harboring) may “be punished by death or imprisoned for any term of years or for life” if it results in the death of any person.
