WASHINGTON ― Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D) pardoned an undocumented mother of two on Wednesday for a years-old conviction for driving without a license in the hope that it will help spare her from deportation.

But the fact that she is no longer defined as a criminal might not matter to the Trump administration.

Maybe it's time to think about the Feds going after that governor for allowing illegal aliens to stay in the US; according to Obama, immigration was a "federal" thing.

Quote:
“ICE took Ms. Cruz Mendez into custody based on a final order of removal issued by an immigration judge in April 2006,” agency spokeswoman Carissa Cutrell said in an email. “Even without any criminal convictions, she is still subject to removal from the United States based on that final order of removal.”
She received a final order to leave the country and she stayed, thus that should be a crime in itself, she needs to be deported asap. what good are laws if people do not follow them.

I think you are stretching things a bit too far.

Her driving is a LOCAL matter.

Being an ILLEGAL is a FED matter.

By being an illegal, she IS STILL a criminal and subject to deportation regardless of her local criminal record but, you already know that.

Thank god McAuliffe will be gone soon. Hopefully Virginia elects a smart leader and beats NoVA this time around.

The thing, it doesn't matter what additional laws they break, they are unlawfully present and deportation is the cure for that. Seriously, a bank robber that runs a stop sign wouldn't be let go as he had previously committed a criminal offense. It is so simple.

I am also totally fed up with "immigrants" being dragged into this. We have so many legal immigrants and there is no reason in the world that this should be made to reflect on them. There status is being exploited in order to try to support the lawless. Sad.
