Maybe true of some but not all. Many were brought here on a student VISA with a promise of a job that goes with it. Remember many countries allow students to work. These people used a service that claims to be legitimate. They fell into a trap.
By the way, no human deserves to be prostituted against their will, or worked as a slave in a sweat shop. By slave I do mean without pay and 0 freedom. Some are kidnapped from their home countries and brought here against their will. They are true victims.

Most who used human smugglers came here willingly though. If they have a valid visa they didn't get smuggled in. I do agree though about people being brought here against their will they would be victims.

Seeing a pattern here ..... being an illegal immigrant isn't necessarily smart.
^^^^Exactly!

What is really ironic is that if these people had stayed in Korea, they would have been much more prosperous. Back in the 90s, when there was a bad recession, WaPo had an article that talked about how Korean immigrants weren't doing well here while their fellow countrymen/women who stayed in Korea were doing quite well.

For the Koreans who overstayed a visa, if the Reverend really wanted to help, he would be raising money for one way tickets back to Korea.

I wouldn't wish homelessness on anyone.

I wonder how many Americans became homeless because illegal aliens took their jobs?

Which is why the US should enforce their immigration laws and send back illegals as they come into contact with the government - either through police contact, applying for welfare, or enrolling in school.

When the word gets out, fewer foreigners will fall victim to these false promises. It's only because so many have written home about the wonderful benefits that people are willing to believe the false promises these scumbags give out.

Agree, but let's add when they go to the emergency room for their free medical care, a loophole in Medicaid let's them use emergency room services at 3 times the rate of a citizen/legal immigrant and we, the taxpayers, pay for it and this includes birthing their anchor babies. Deliver the baby, detain the mother and baby for 6 weeks out of compassion and then process them for deportation. If she wants to leave her baby, many citizens are looking for infants to adopt, and many children of those that break the law end up in foster care and/or adopted.

When we tighten down the benefits, they will do no better here than in their own country, maybe not even as well.
