WASHINGTON (CRONKITE) – The Supreme Court this week moved to take a closer look at Arizona’s bid to deny driver’s licenses to recipients of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, sparking concern among immigration-rights advocates.

Supreme Court may be eyeing state

How about going back home there, Dream Act people, and being "legal" instead of demanding things your kind DON'T deserve here in the US? Sheesh!

Hopefully the Court does the right thing and terminates this policy. DACA is illegal in itself, so state benefits cannot lawfully derive from it.

It is temporary program, so they don't need driver's licenses which I am sure they think will buy them some kind of permanency in the long run. They can take the bus back to the boarder!

Hopefully, SCOTUS denies cert to Brewer v. Arizona Dream Act Coalition. In a nutshell, the State of Arizona wishes to limit the power of the U.S. President vis-à-vis immigration. In its Petition for Writ of Certiorari, petitioner's counsel wrote:
Judge Kozinski’s dissent ends with a reminder: “Executive power favors the party, or perhaps simply the person, who wields it.” App. 12. His concern mirrors James Madison’s: the consolidation of power in any one person is the “very definition of tyranny.” The Federalist No. 47 (Madison). Thus, the reason for concern over each successive President’s ability to suspend statutes, confer benefits, and preempt state laws is not a fear over policy tumult or distrust of a given President; the reason for concern is that this new power marks the arrival of an Imperial Presidency far more sweeping than any our nation has known.
The "reminder" above and other arguments in the petition can be used against Trump and his so-called "Muslim ban."

It really is a shame that states feel the need to do the Fed's job. Especially when it is obvious that the state in question is being hammered by illegals. The Fed has obviously failed to do what they are compelled to do by law. This isn't just about 1 President or 1 congress. This is an institutional failure that has gone on for decades.
