If we had universal and enforceable e-verify, making it more difficult for them to work and for employers to hire them, much of that would simply go away.

So what you're saying is we need to build a wall to cover 50% of trespassers and stop handing out visas like pens at a convention to prevent the other 50% of trespassers.

All the Canadians are definitely on business visas, probably living in big cities blending in with native population.

As a Canadian legal resident myself, I'll tell you, everyone thinks I'm American. And when I tell them I'm from Canada, they make fun of me, but it's all good, lol.

That's true, but the businesses that employ them have influence and blocked that several years go. They don't want to loose the labor.

It was the Democrats that blocked e-verify the last time a bill was brought forth. Trump has it in his 2018 budget.
