Instead they pay sales taxes is the only thing they can cling to when challenged.

I can't fathom why the illegal alien apologists think that it's ok for them to be here just because they pay some taxes. Americans who pay taxes don't get a pass on breaking the law because of that. It's a pretty lame defense, IMO.
